But at what cost?

isn't the curb weight on these things like 3700lbs? (no muscle hate) Sounds bitchin', but you'd be better off buying a used c5 z06.

sorry but these new things (mustang, GTO, charger, ect) are NOT muscle cars. those days ended as soon as the world counted down to 1975! true muscle cars are made between late 1960's- early 1970's before gas spiked and insurance companies caught on to what was happening under those hoods.
this is what would be considered a "sports car" or maybe in some cases a "super car" but not a "muscle car"
however it is cool when a car makes soo much power that it doesnt want to even idle!! my nova used to be like that before I removed the tunnel ram and dual-quads. wish I got to see this thing run tho!

Yes, so you can join all the other cookie cutter models and have no originality in your car. I'm beyond sure with the money he spent on the car+engine, he could have bought the Z06. It's not always about what you buy, it's about what you can make with it.

sounds like someones got their beer goggles on. cuz none of those are correct. theyre simply popular beleif amongst the media. get close with some real mechanics, ones that work on all types of cars, not just one brand and they can tell you some pretty interesting things...

And yet 99% of people on the street will see the car and think the same thing about the challenger. At least the vette doesn't come in a v6 so there are less of them on the road.

I don't know if it's a radical ass cam they have in there, or the twin-blowers that's causing the idle, but that thing sounds like hell. Too bad he didn't get on it. Rolling burnouts are cool

freakin sick.
this is really the second muscle car era:
Ford Mustang (300+ HP)
Ford GT500 (500 HP)
Pontiac GTO (350-400 HP)
Dodge Challenger SRT8 (400 HP)
Dodge Charger SRT8 (400 HP)
Chrysler 300 SRT8 (400 HP)
Dodge RAM SRT10 (450 HP)
Dodge Magnum SRT8 (400 HP)
Pontiac G8 (400 HP)
Chevrolet Camaro (400 HP)
Chevrolet ZR1 Corvette (550 HP)
Now I am probably missing a few on that list but none the less, VERY VERY impressive cars on that list. Give me any of those cars over any BMW, Honda, etc. Real nice American cars making sick power and are easy to work on.
