How many Calories?

Hi!

I was wondering how many calories i should be eating.

I'm 13
5'3
130lbs
24% bf

My goal is to lower my body fat to 17 or 18 percent in 16 weeks.
I workout 3 times a week and do cardio 4 times a week.

I would say for your heigh/weight/age 1500-1700.

On a side note (i'm sure you've heard this before)...power to you for jumping on the healthy lifestyle at such a young age, but don't become to obsessive with your diet and training

You should not be counting calories at the age of 13! Cutting back on the junk food will help...but don't get into any kind of dieting at your age. It's just not healthy...

Exactly!!! Just eat healthy!! Do NOT start counting calories or dieting....eat healthy and move more..

And are you REALLY 13? How did you find this site? You seem to know a lot of the "jargon" for such a young age

x2 You still have a lot of growing to do... definitely dont start counting calories, and don't get too obsessed about your weight at a young age. its great to be interesting in fitness and health though but dont go too crazy, liike kimm4 said, just cut back on the junk food and the soft drinks etc and keep yourself active

ITA! Having started with an eating disorder at your age, I can really only advice you to stay away from counting calories! Like Kimm4 said, cut out the junk, focus on healthy eating (lots of fruit & veggies etc.), continue to work out and you're set. In your young age there's no need/sense to focus on lowering your bodyfat % either!
