Dude, you only weigh 144lb's.... gain some weight man. Abs should be the last on your list.
and you're telling me you don't know how to look around on this board? An AB workout questions comes up every. single. day.

*ahem - something about the term "bodybuilding" that would lead me to believe otherwise...just throwin' that out there.
OP: Grab this months issue of Men's Health (Lance Armstrong on the cover) and do that routine, working for me so far. Different take entirely on getting abs.

Lot of dicks on this site now huh?
I've found doing weighted high rep stuff, mostly cable pulldowns at about 50lbs for 60 reps, then leg raises 3-15 has worked awesome for me. Abs are just like any other muscle in your body no reason to really train them any different. Just remember even if you get them bigger they won't get any more ripped if you don't lose some body fat. I know a lot of guys with huge abs that stick out further then their pecs but they aren't ripped.
I try and concentrate more on form and squeeze then weight or reps. The stringy tendons that define your abs can also get stretched out and make you less defined as you get bigger abs. Read up on the bodybuilding.com supersite.

I've pretty much always relied on crunches on the floor, while holding a weight over my head.
A few years ago I was so close (like the pic below) to an 8 pack, but then got into more focus on overall body and so I've had just a standard 6 pack for a while.
The abs are probably the muscle group most affected by low bodyfat (though at 144 pounds it should be pretty low anyway).

although it's a bodybuilding forum yes, people come on here with all sorts of different goals, whether they be sport specific, lose weight, get huge or to simply get a better upper body.
The bloke who initially asked the question about abs never stated he wants to get huge yet everyone rips into him telling him he should focus on getting huge first. That's all fine and well if that is his goal, which it might be. But if he is relatively comfortable with how he is atm but is seeking out how to get better defined abs then why not inform him instead of telling him to get huge?
Remember not everyone on here is striving to become the next Arnold etc.

You can't estimate body fat % from weight alone. At 144 lbs he could have anywhere from 5-25% body fat. You just can't know.
