I missed my workout today.
I scored a Landice Pro Sports Trainer treadmill today for 100 bucks.
6 years old and in perfect condition. The guy even handed me his receipt where he paid 4k for it in late 04. I had to Dismantle/load/unload it by myself so that was today's workout.
Maybe best score yet!I got the last one for 350 and it was the older model.sold that one for 850 to a freind while others were listed at 12-1400.
I f-up the cord putting it back together so may cost me a little more but still a score.

"I don't have time to lift, I make time"
Once, at my local gym, I went into the locker room to take a leak. There was this little hairy, naked guy (probably my age) with it swinging down to his knee. He was really showing it off and smiled at me (WTF?!?) and winked. Me, being me, told him out loud, "if you want to impress me with that, have it hold up a barbell with 2 plates a side."

DeWalt was launched as the "premium" brand of Black & Decker (like Lexus to Toyota, Acura to Honda, etc.) and they have also recently acquired the long time premium brands Porter Cable, Delta woodworking, and DeVilbiss air powered tools.

(scroll to 1992 and 2004)
Bosch now owns Skil... Ridgid is now a house brand of Home Depot...
There are very few specialist companies left, they are all part of these corporate conglomerations where they brand these cheapened down items with these various names for sale in various channels of the market.
The real badass specialty mfgs in the cordless tool world are Festool and Metabo. Basically bomb-proof mechanically and electrically.
Panasonic is another excellent choice.

I was 10,000 though......far more prestigious.
Apparently its a myth? I stayed up late for this? That's like watching an early Tyson fight from the eighties.......big pay-per-view party....for nothing.
Not the Douglas fight though, that was impressive (and a Columbus Native )Last edited by Keetman; 02-24-2010 at 08:59 PM.

They might close it tomorrow. It probably send an automatic email when a thread reaches a certain #, but not really sure. That's how I would do it though if I had # of posts limitations.

Yeah, like 4ME wrote in the quote under, B&D makes mostly tools for homeowners. I used to be in the trades and still have most of my tools and they were considered crap and you only saw apprentices walking in a jobsite with them. All the senior guys had Dewalt, Milwaukee(which most of my tools are), and Makita. An old timer had a 7.2V cordless drill that was 20years old and still ran like a champ. You mostly see old Milwaukee drills working for that long, but like everything else, Milwaukee does have a problem here and there. I had to take in for warranty a nice orbital sawzall because the motor went on it. It was within the warranty, so it was fixed right away. I still have an older Milwaukee rotary hammer and that works like a champ.
It feels good to be handy, and ever since I was little I used to tinker with everything electronic and mechanical. Out of curiosity I fixed things, but I also broke things in my earlier childhood days. It's all about the process of learning, right?!

well, depending on which day everyone wants to go, my wife's work schedule, and lining up a babysitter- i might still be in. sucks, wanted to hang out with you, meet captmorgan, look at the ladies, watch some strongman/powerlifting... hope it works out.
i'll get it, let me make sure nobody else started one. i'm sure being laid off forever last year increased my post count (both in this thread and total posts)"If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

Except that this one isn't dead yet? What up widat?
Still working on that trade.....got a good prospect this morning. A guy that always needs time off for hunting says he "doesn't need to kill, gut, or drag anything out of a lake or woods that day so he'll check it out with his wife".....gotta love rednecks! I told him when he did need to I'd pay him back, lol.

Has anyone tried Vassive before?
http://www.thesupplementrating.com/listing.php?id=355
Seems pretty good from the reviews, I am drinking a sample I got awhile ago at the moment. I've never taken a pre-workout thing before so I don't know what the expect, probably won't do anything.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No.18

I took Vassive last year for a while.Don't know if it made any difference.I've basically stopped taking any pre workout stuff because it can get pretty expensive and I don't seem to get anything out of them. Not saying it won't work for you though J.I basically stick with creatine and protein now.Sorry can't help anymore than that.

Yeah I just got doing some "lighter" squats (my back is **** from ****ing snow shoveling, need a break) and I really didn't feel anything. Before I went down I felt kind of bouncy but once I started squatted it didn't make a difference.
Bah. I even still yawned, I guess I'll never find something that wakes me up before I lift.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No.18

ultimate orange worked quite well, then they took it off the market.
I always take 200-400mg of caffeine before I hit the weights, works for me, but some don't like it.()---() York Barbell Club #37 ()---()

I know this article is long, but read the whole thing. It is very informative and shows that L-arginine is ineffective in elevating blood nitric oxide levels and glycine-propionyl-L-carnitine actually works:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/nitr...de_science.htm
I've taken L-arginine products, including vassive, and they just cause a temporary insulin spike thanks to gratuitous sucralose. You feels a little boost, but it's not nitric oxide, and you really don't want the insulin spike pre-workout. L-arginine products also often cause gastric distress.
I found this article after digging for awhile and tried presurge, and found it much more effective. The downside is that it's expensive, but so are the untested, scientifically unsubstantiated L-arginine products.

I have a plow/shovel that I bought years ago but I left in storage this winter. I have a shovel at home and a small assembly shovel for the trunk of my car. I tried to find what I bought online but it must have been discontinued years ago.
Some of these things have gotten bad reviews.
