Getting rid of the lower back/glute fat

Just to setup the situation, say were 14 days out. Youre ready but still have some lower back/glute fat.

How do you approach this situation?

I feel at this point increasing cardio any more will take a toll on muscle mass. So I dont believe the solution lies there.

Just to make things clear, Im not looking to take your advice. Im looking at how other people approach this.

If you can get rid of all your bodyfat 2 weeks out, then thats great! I just know some guys, myself included hit a hard wall and hold water/fat in our lower back/glutes.

Forget about the time frame if you want, lets just say you hit a wall, and you only have fat in those two places. How do you appraoch it.

I agree with Stayfit, besides drugs (as blazed suggested) the only way is more time. Or instead of picking another show, do this one anyways and do another when you feel youre really ready. Why not?

When I hit a wall losing fat, I refeed. But, two weeks out, the refeed isnt gonna help much. I also change up my ratio of carbs to fats....increase the fat and lower carbs. But, even if you start cycling carbs and you lose another 2 lbs in the next week, is that gonna be enough?

Yeah this should have been addressed maybe 4 weeks out.

Adjust your posing so that you make the rolls in your lower back to obvious. Perhaps don't roll back to much, play with were you put your hands in the back lat pose etc.

A wider stance helped me bigtime during my first show in May. I still had a some smooth areas in my glutes, other than smoke and mirrors...Can't do much else though.

You simply have a decision to make. Do you "go all out" with your fat burning efforts to get rid of as much of that fat as possible, or do you lean towards staying fuller?

I would almost always lean towards getting lean.

I never said I could get rid of all my bodyfat in two weeks. You asked how to do it in two weeks, and I'm telling you that it's not going to happen. You need more time.

If you do have more time, then mixing up your cardio might help. Also I think ultra, ultra high rep sets in the specific area will, over a long period time, lead to spot fat reduction. But that is an off season solution - not a contest prep solution.

In all honesty, though, I think other body parts are going to have to suffer if you want to lean out a lagging part of your body. If, and when, that part leans out sufficiently it should be easier in the future to attain a more balanced conditioning, assuming you don't go on a massive off season binge.
