Question What's a good snack for the car? Peanuts? Raisins?

I usually keep a jar/can of unsalted peanuts in my car. I don't down it all at once or anything, usually it takes about 2-3 weeks before it's gone. But my commute to work usually has me in traffic for about 2 hours a day total, so it is nice to have either gum or some small snack to munch on *sparingly*.

Anyone have a good tip on a generally healthy snack to keep around? Whether it be pretzels, nuts, raisins or some trail mix?

Also I am not starving from my breakfast, I usually have 1-2 servings of oatmeal, about 16oz. water, and a fruit (usually banana). That keeps my appetite good until I get to work or lunch for another small meal.

    Thx

Meal replacement, or protein shake. It always works for me. I just make it and keep it in the car until I need it. also a protein bar, just unwrap and snack!

Goji berries! VERY healthy and high in antioxidants (the highest of any fruit I believe). You should be able to find them in any health food store.

Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen.

I used to eat that stuff. There good, but then I bought a different brand and I was horribly sick for like a week. It scarred me for life...

    No more goji for me.

    PS: Goji juice is delicious.

That's why you've gotta find a good brand and stick with it. There's great stuff out there but there's also real crap. I would very much advise against buying no brand goji's at most asian markets.

Thanks for the tips! I will check out this Goji stuff... never heard of it before now. Also, I guess I need to replace my regular consumption of unsalted peanuts with almonds lol in my car right now I have a mix of unsalted peanuts, raisins, and chocolate chip morsels. But I don't eat a lot of once tho.
