    Question Egg whites vs. whole eggs

    Alright, I finally know the difference between these two.

    Egg whites is only the white stuff and whole egg includes the yellow stuff.

    However, what's the difference between them? It seems that most of the people here eat only egg whites (and lots of them!). What's so bad with yellow stuff?
    Eating only egg whites seems a waste of egg...
    Also, how do you get egg whites? Do you just boil the egg to hard and then just take yolk out and throw it away?

    And...personally to me..I'm trying to bulk up and gain some weight (I'm 6'3" and 140 lbs), so should I eat egg whites or whole eggs?
    Lastly, what's the best time to eat eggs? Looks like most of the people eat them at the mornings.

    the yoke is what has most of the calories and cholesterol. so its not that good for you. plus the whites have most of the protein.Personally I like to add one whole egg and 2 egg whites so you get the taste of the yoke but still have the majority of egg whites.

    You can either buy egg whites separate, or you can just crack open the egg and flip the yolk between the two shell halves while allowing the whites to drip out. The Whites are almost pure protein, and can be added to anything without really changing the flavor. I personally love egg whites and actually dislike the yolks, but they aren't gonna kill you. The yolks are healthier fats and as for cholesterol, I have no idea about it. There are a dozen threads on this, just use the search function. As for bulling, it would be way easier to eat the yolks and get the calories, or you could eat alot of whites. Just personal preference

    The reason many people here only use egg whites is because they are on extremely strict diets and cannot afford to add the extra calories but need the protien from the whites. This is why you seel meals like 1 cup oats 10 egg whites. It all is an attempt to fit into their macros for the day.

    Eat the whole egg on a bulk. Eggs are a super food. Yolks build muscle. You're eating the embryo of an animal, there has to be something in there that helps build and support life. Right? You can eat eggs all day. I'm running keto and I'm eating around ten a day. Three over-easy in the morning with some bacon, five to seven mid-afternoon hardboiled with some hot sauce or mustard.

    I EAT 10 EGG WHITES EVERYMORNING,WITH OATMEAL HALF CUP.PROTEIN SHAKE MUSCLE TEC ,HARDCORE,ALONG WITH ONE BANANNA,NO OTHER DRINKS JUST THE SHAKE.DO THAT FOR ONE MONTH EVERYDAY TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

    the yolk has a full half of the protein. 1 white is only like ~3.5 grams of protein or ~15 cals.

    that's like 1 peanut.

    It depends how it fits into your diet. Anything can be bad in a surplus.

    Nothing wrong with egg yolks, as long as it fits in. Personally, i don't see the point in eating an egg without the yolk. I eat eggs for quick calories...An egg without the yolk is around 17 calories...Doesn't seem like much of a point...But, if for some reason your low on protein, but are close to being over on your calorie count, then eat egg whites for protein...

    I go 9-10 egg whites from a carton, then add 2 full eggs in. I think thats around 30 grams of protein all up. Add a cup of oats and you have a total of 40 grams.

    WRONG. This is a common myth. Yolks are actually good for you. You need calories. You need cholesterol. You need fat.

    The only reason you should cut out the yolks is if you have added up all your macros and you have over 30% of your calories from fat. And even then, there are probably other sources of fat you can begin to cut first (such as milk fat or animal fat) before you starting cutting egg yolks, which contain decent protein and nutrient content.
