Anyone else sick of seeing "FAT BURNER" Threads?
The truth of the matter is, unless you are in a cutting phase, Fat burners are not an essential part of your stack.
I could say that they only two true ways to "burn fat" are A. Expending MORE energy (calories) Then you intake, OR physically sucking the fat from your body through liposuction.
Thermogenics - YES they will, in fact, increase the metabolism,Therefore thermogenics are stimulants because they give off heat, which speeds up your bodily functions. And of course the body on speed will burn more calories. Does this mean that you?re burning more fat? Not necessarily.
research has shown that both ephedrine and caffeine can be an effective part of a fat-loss program. I agree that competitive athletes should not use thermogenics without the assistance of a tprofessional who understands short-term usage.
There are most deff. side effect that come along with the use of thermogenics.
It was refreshing to see a Forum for women to share their experiance with supplements, because, it is difficult to find solid resourse for said topic. I was sad to see that most of the threads posted are "FAT BURNER" threads.
Kick it up ladies. Lets hear some feedback about the other 100000 supplements and brands out there that helped you out!!

I think it's more the time of year, than this section, ie. it's January, prime New Year's resolution time..
But also, females tend to take fewer supplements overall than men, most take just protein powder and fish oils.
There is a much bigger "main" supplement forum that is a female friendly place too.

I agree, i didnt think of those resolutions!!! Maybe because it never consider fitness to be a resolution. Guess i shouldn't be so closed minded. lol.
I will have to check out the main forum. Thanks Terra. Congratz on the pregnancy! Good luck to you!

I think lots of people get frustrated with not seeing results, and being to turn to supplements... Not the best way to go, but I can understand the desire to see results faster (or so they think) and reasoning behind it all.

Yes, I'm tired of them. The worst ones are the "what's a good fat burner for my gf" threads.

At the same token, If there was a miracle pill out there that smokes fat on contact i think any of us would spend any amount of money on it. lol.
In my experiance, the same people who ask and ask which "fat burner" to use are the people who have poor diets, little to no physical activity and expect to take thermogenics and see amazing results.
Its just frusterating.
If you have set goals, supplement well, eat great and train hard. I think they could be beneficial for specific individules.

Wearing stupid affliction shirts that are too small on them and chatting their heads off when i just wana lift!! They do one set in two hours.

Sorry for the rant.

Fat Be Gone
in the being stage of my work out i was using Lipo 6, but as week went on i saw no difference in my body. So i stoped using the product and went on a seach to find that magic pill. but come to find out there is no such thing as a poof fat begone pill. Just hard work and dedication is all it takes to lose body fat. but there is one thing that i find out by reading M&F Hers was that if you take creatine and caffine together, it is a great work out booster. that has seem to help me cut some fat and work out energy. but eating right and exercise is has been the key for me.

Oh believe me, I've kicked a few off my treadmill. I sign up early in the morning so if they're on it when I get there you better believe I will kick their butts off! It's pretty funny to see the look on some of their faces.
Most of the time they think I am mistaken and act really snotty towards me, then they go check the sign up sheet and realize they made the mistake. Oops! haha

Funny thing is, I was just going to post about them. Asking if they are worth it... LMAO.
Article I read said to try them, but I won't waste my money if it's just another gimmick.

They aren't necessarily all gimmicks - but the thing with fat burners is that they are not a quick and easy solution to weight/fat loss. There is no quick or easy solution.
Fat burners WILL work but you will usually only notice results when you are already at a lower body fat percentage. You will always lose more fat with a clean diet and proper training than with a fat burner. I would never recommend that a beginner use a fat burner - there isn't really any point.
