Instead of states, think metropolitan area. Metro areas are where all the money is and you wont make a good living as a trainer living where the income is low.
NYC
LA
SF
Chicago
Those would be my top cities

Yeah instead of states just look for the most populated areas. If you have a lot of traffic you will have more clients.

i would say states with great beaches would be places where people want to be looking good all the time. Florida, where i live, and Cali would be best in my opinion; especially SoCal. the weather in both places is beautiful 11 months of the year. everyone wants to look great when they know they dont have to wear much clothing year round. or maybe its just my hopes since i live in one of the states lol. but i do sincerely think that these states are great for those reasons!! plus, the "regular" people in cali want to be like all of these "amazing" celebrities that they live amongst.

beach areas are where its at....i think people the people in those areas want to be in shape more to show off their bodies all year long!!! im lovin florida

pretty sure im moving to florida after high school ive always wanted to live there anyway plus its one of the best places to be a personal trainer

Yes, most major metro areas are your best bet for having the most clients. Also, upper-middle class retirement communities seem to be good too. be careful in florida..its a little hard to get started....theres a TON of trainers down here. most of them suck....and some of the cities are hit or miss...u can be in a great 6 figure area and go 5 miles and be luck if the income of the entire household is 40k a year.
