I am in the market for a new bar. I have heard many recommendations for the "Texas Power Bar." My question is, are they all the same (i.e made by the same company) or is the texas power bar a "spec' for a bar that meets certain criteria. I ask because elitefts, jessup, sorinex and others all sell a "texas power bar" at way different prices.

Should I just by the cheapest one, or are there differences?

I can attest to the Jessup bar as being the best bang for the buck. Very solid bar with great knurling. Many people have had great experiences with it as well. It is a very stiff bar with very little to no whip. So, not the best for a deadlift bar.

Agreed. His products are top notch and his prices were the best I could find. His customer service is good and he answers questions honestly. I have purchased two bars and a pair of collars from him. I was going to purchase one more thing, a much higher dollar piece, and he told me he didn't think it was the right equipment for me. In addition, he gave me other websites and companies he thought would be more in line for what I needed.
