I have had to have those things (from when my brain exploded) and they are tight. I could actually see this happening. Even the newer 3T ones are tight, never been in one of the 6T ones. They have to drug me to within 1/2 a nod of consciousness in order to get me in there.

And bet you anything she keeps eating at McD or whatever. This for me would be a slap to the forehead "Come on! Lose it!"

Yeah that sounds right. I aslo saw a show after that about superobese teens. It was sad!! This one boy could barely leave his house he was so big and his mom keep sayin stuff like she's his mothers and this is what moms do when they love their children! I wanted to slap her! Cause like clearly at I think he was 13 .. she made him that way! Overweights one thing but at that age if you have a child so obese that he can barely stand or walk and shes constantly cooking and feeding him junk food.. that's child abuse to me.

"So he suggested the Kansas City Zoo," Ragan said. "I thought, I know I'm big, but I'm not as big as an elephant. And my husband got mad." ... Ragan's problem was two-fold: She was too heavy for the table and too wide to slide through the opening.
Maybe, just maybe, she's more the size of a zebra than an elephant.
That, and, why hasn't husband got mad that she's attempting suicide-via-food-abuse?I'm Buddha-sized and full of wisdom... and fat.

The usual bore diameter for new "closed" MRI's is only 60cm. Quick calculation is 74" around. That's not including the space taken up by the little sliding table thingy. Not that I was obsessed with the fact that they were sticking my claustrophobic hairy arse into those things on a regular basis. I mean it's not like I downloaded all the information from Phillips and GE and kept calling techs and people at the manufacturers or anything like that, or had pictures of various MRI units or could tell the make and model just from sight....OK, maybe I did.

They do. Just not two every bodies like you.
or
They do, at the zoo. Watch out for that hippo he's horny.
I watched "half ton woman" and "half ton teen" on discovery. The woman When she was still mobile and less than her full weight had to go to the recycling center to weight herself for her doctors they didn't have a scale that could hold her. That should have been kinda a clue for her.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No. 11

I saw that one. I've seen (probably) every show on Disc Health about obesity, and the thing that kills me every time is when I hear, "I've tried everything, and nothing worked."
You know it's because they only tried it for one or two days. My ex-wife used to pull the same crap. "I tried dieting, and nothing changed!"
She tried it for two days and expected to go from a size 20 to a size 16. I tried telling her that it has to be a life change, not a diet that lasts a few days.
Do you think she listened to me? That's why she's my ex-wife, and I lost 50 pounds through diet and exercise, and she had gastric bypass and put a lot of it back on after the surgery."Blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." - Psalm 144:1

In reality shes not that fat "so to speak", comparatively to most obese people. She's only 275lbs. I wonder if a 275lb man could fit in the same machine. I've had a 600lb 19 year old come to the ER. Now thats HUGE "so to speak". We even made a house call to her apt because the bariatric ambulance couldn't get to her that day. And what do you know, with a Gomer Pyle-"Surprise...Surprise!", there were nothing but little debby boxes and 2 liters of soft drinks all over. The problem I see everyday is that people are just too lazy to do anything to help themselves, and the doctors don't really help them either. Perfect example: How many obese people do you see using those electric scooters to get around? They don't work, so guess where they get them? Their physician writes them a prescription and medicare/medicaid pays for it, just perpetuating the issue. Back in the day a doctor would have said sorry your too fat, you need to walk. Now we have become a society of being PC, for fear we might hurt someones feelings or get sued because we told someone the truth and it caused them mental anguish. Heaven forbid we tell the truth, someone might cry!

I think the half ton teen is the one I saw to.. Where his mom was feeding all that crap and babing him.. she was interferring with his treatments in the hospital!! I really don't see why what she was doing to him was not considered child abuse!
