Yeah, that Cudi LP isn't a classic or even one of the best albums this year, but I enjoyed the first couple listens and it will get mild rotation on my iPod for a while. He's pushing some boundaries, and has a signature unique vibe. Props for originality and his non-conformist sound.

I know what you mean though- I get that same feeling listening to other "alternative" hip hop. Some artists that are "out there" I am totally feeling, and others that lots of people love I just don't connect with at all.

And the other Roots LP I was talking about was the one w/ John Legend. In addition to their official LP, they are like the heavyweight champs of the 2nd half of 2010, ha.
