Since nobody apparently read the article (because they were too busy staring at the chick, I presume)....
The money for the campaign came from donations. Dawkins, himself said that he would have liked to divert a large portion of the money to another cause - but it was donated for the specific purpose of the bus campaign, so they felt legally obligated to use all the money for it.
And it wasn't Dawkins' project, he was just a supporter.

I'm American, not German. There's a difference between "location" and "nationality". Thanks.

More atheists pushing their beliefs on other people.
"Why cant you just leave me and my beliefs alone and let me live my life?! waaahh"Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

I'm yet to have an atheist walk up to me and ask me if i believed in god, or knew about athiesm etc. I lost track of the number of bible huggers that have came up to me pushing their agenda.
This bus campaign is a rarity in the scheme of things. That said, i do believe believers of any faith, or lack there of, should keep to themselves.i rep back

coming from a group that claims to base itself on logic, that is about the stupidest thing ive ever seen atheists do.. Religious people go out of their way to spread a message they believe will save others from eternal punishment, and whether or not you believe the particular views, you at least have to admit the motive is a good one (saving people)
This on the other hand, is something like $300,000 dollars spent just to say everyone's gonna die and disapear. WHO CARES? it's not my money so it doesn't bother me, (same way i ignore the religious signs on the road) but it is completely illogical to do, seeing as it does nothing for the people paying for it, and has no motivation of helping people either (because again, it makes sense to spend money if you feel you are helping someone, it doesn't make sense to spend money for the sole purpose of being louder and more obnoxious.) If he wants to show how awesome atheists are, he should have sent that money to ethiopia or cancer research or something to, ya know, help us in our one and only lifetime.
and no, it will do nothing to make believers of atheism.. RARELY, someone might find religion from a sign (having a bad day, look up and see God smiling nicely at you or something) but no one's gonna become an atheist for similar reasons, as atheism itself is about there being no big man to help you.
in the end i don't care at all, cause it's not my money being wasted and it doesn't affect me in the least.. lol, spend your money on wasted signs, ill go buy a car or something, maybe help a friend in needLast edited by Spuddy; 01-12-2009 at 01:50 PM.

lol, religion will not be destroyed regardless of what you do. Look at SYRIANKID, he is more educated then most and he is a devote follower of Islam(stone gays, chop limbs off, Islam)(no offense SYRIANKID, you seem like a pretty decent guy, besides the amputation thing).

I laughed my ass off at this.
If someone follows a specific religion, that person lacks an enormous amount of knowledge/understanding in the following areas: physics, biology, chemistry, philosophy, sociology, common sense, and everything in between.
Because if he knew what he should know, he'd be an Atheist--like scientists. The people who know the most about the world, life, and the universe.Last edited by Arbex; 01-12-2009 at 02:05 PM.
