2009 Predictions Thread.
Just for fun. I'll bump this if I remember and am still around at the end of the year.
1) Run on dollar
2) Irish unemployment > 15%
3) US U-3 unemployment > 12%
4) US U-6 unemployment > 20%
5) Lisbon Treaty passes or rejects with more than 60% of vote (I can do this, 60% would be an unprecedented margin either way)
6) Anti EU/globalisation uprising in much of Western Europe, heavily far left
7) 'Need' for imminent world government openly talked about and debated in forefronts of the mainstream, concept that it's a silly conspiracy theory (or ever was...) is shafted.
8) IMF in talks with Ireland
9) Avatar is better than Watchmen and Terminator 4
10) On Dec 31st "Yah, we haven't hit bottom"

1. Spending for infrastructure will be accelerated, benefitting currupt government subcontractors.
2. Unemployment in the end of Dec. 2009/beginning of 2010 will be higher than Dec 08/Jan 09.
3. U.S. military sent to another country, occupation or presence included afterward.
4. Dec. 2009, Israel will want to attack Iraq.
5. Liverpool will crush Chelsea
6. Doubts will be raised about S. Africa hosting the 2010 games because of internal problems.
7. I will sell either my truck or my motorcycle, and buy a beater (replacement).
