question about the xvest sizing.

I'm strongly leaning towards purchasing the 84lb xvest. However, I am having a problem choosing between medium and large for a size as my 34" waist is included in both. I couldn't find anywhere on their website if upper body is taken into account as i have a very large chest and wide shoulders. I am 6'1" 225. I really don't want to purchase the wrong vest and have to return it right away. Any help you can give me would be awesome. I'm leaning towards the large because I've never worn a medium anything.

Can't you call them, tell them your measurements, and ask their opinion? If none of your local stores carry the item so you can physically try it on for size, the call would probably be your best option.
