Twirlyfry and Mitotropin: A match made in Heaven?

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first log! I'm really excited and motivated! I will be following the diet that comes with it. I'll start with my stats. I had my weight and bodyfat done at the gym I work at today.

Age: 26
Sex: Female
Weight: 119.5lbs
Bodyfat %: 22.8
Waist circumference: 29 inches.

I took one mito tab at 9 am and one at 3pm. I did feel a bit shaky about 30-45 min after taking it, but after I started my workout, I felt fine. Great appetite suppressant, good energy. I was definitely sweating more. I felt more clearheaded and happier. It may have been because the hot guy I'm casually dating was at the gym, lol! Usually when I finish my weights, I have no interest in cardio. I did 30 minutes of cardio after my weights today! My diet was horrible today! I ate clean, but I hardly ate anything. I wasn't hungry at all. I'm going to be more vigilant about eating enough. I think I'm going to weigh in once a week and possibly post pics once a week.

Now for the before pics....

I have a small head, lol!

Let the games begin!!!

Thank you! My goal is to lose body fat. I probably should have mentioned that, lol! I'd like to get down to 13-15% eventually. I'll take what I can get during the 30 days I'm on mito. Maybe 16-18%?

Wanted to add that it does make me feel a little nauseous. I suppose that's how it suppresses you're appetite, so I'm ok with it. Also, after dinner I felt like my stomach was going to explode, I was uncomfortably full. I really didn't eat that much:

Flounder fillet (not sure how many oz.)
1 cup of broccoli
sm. baked potato with tsp light butter and 2tsp light sour cream

I didn't finish all the broccoli. I only used the butter and sour cream because my cals were so low today, but I won't be using anything like that from now on.

I was going to ask...you said you took one mito, right? If yes, then nevermind on my first idea (which is that you took too many for your body weight).

It probably is because you said you didn't really eat today. I understand about the mito, it makes you not hungry at all, but you have to force yourself to eat everything in the book that came with it. If not, you are just wasting money and time!

Anytime I felt nauseous or had a headache, I would pound a ton of water and that always helped

Good luck on the Mito!

I know! I really am trying, but I'm never hungry in the AM anyway so taking the mito makes the thought of food make me want to yak! But I've started preparing food ahead of time, so it will be ready for me to eat in the morning!

Day 2:

7:30am: One mito tab
8:00am: one scoop syntha-6 protein and 8oz. water. (I had a dr.'s appt. and was in a rush)
12:00pm: Bowl of chili with ground turkey (I made it myself, it's clean) 1/2 cup brown rice
3:00pm: Another bowl of chili with brown rice (It was yummy!
6:00pm: Tilapia fillet, 1 cup green beans.
8:00pm: 1 cup cooked egg whites

Chili: black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, zucchini, orange bell pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste and spices.

I think my cals are still too low, I know I just need to eat something more substantial in the morning. I cooked 3 cups of egg whites and 3 whole eggs, so it's all ready for my breakfast for however long it lasts!

I only took ONE mito tab all day. Last night I could not sleep at all! I tossed and turned all night. Tomorrow I'm going to try taking one at 6am and another at 12pm and see how that affects me.

FEELING: The mito made me a bit jittery and nauseous and I did feel a bit dizzy at the gym at points during my workout. I love the appetite suppressant and the extra energy it gives me. It seemed to have worn off by 3pm like yesterday, but I wasn't about to take another one and be up all night again!

WORKOUT:

(yesterday I did chest and back)

Trisets:

3 sets of 12 reps:
Bulgarian squats with 15lb db
Single leg RDL with 15lb db
Monster walks (side stepping with a resistance band in case anyone didn't know)

Seated calf raises 12 reps with 25lb plate, then 35 then 45.

Hanging leg raises 3 sets of 12 reps.

Pretty short, but tri setting the first three leg workouts really burns them out!

20 minutes cardio.

Thank you everyone for reading! Feel free to ask me anything you want to know. I know I probably leave some stuff out without realizing it!

Smile Day 3

Day 3

Good evening, everyone!

9am: One mito tab
10am: 1 cup cooked egg whites, 1/2 serving frosted mini wheats with 1%milk.
12pm: One mito tab. 1 scoop syntha-6 with 8oz. water
2pm: flounder fillet, 1 cup green beans
3pm: 1.5 stalks celery, 1 tbsp Natty PB
6pm: flounder fillet, 1 cup broccoli
8pm: 8 strawberries with dark chocolate (I know, I know!)

I didn't drink enough water today, I have been drinking 2-3L, trying to get to a gallon!

No work out today, my 4 year old daughter is sick.

Ok, so it wasn't the MITO making me jittery, it was the Superpump250! I took one mito at 9am and I didn't take superpump today and I didn't feel jittery at all! I did notice good appetite suppressant though. Tomorrow I'm going to take two mito tabs when I wake up. I was taking the superpump with the mito since I leave for the gym when I wake up, so I don't have much time. I'm going to start taking the mito at 6am and then the superpump before I leave for the gym.

I don't know if it's psychological, but I thought my midsection looked a little slimmer today, lol!

That's all, pretty boring. I think I'm doing really well with my diet so far. That has always been the hardest part for me and I've never been this strict, either. I'm always referring the the manual that came with it to make sure I'm on track!

Thank you for reading!

Thanks! There were a couple other moms who did it. One with 2 kids, one with 3. Now that's crazy! Since my daughter's 4, it's much easier than if she were, say, a year old!

Day 4 and 5

Day 4:

My diet was horrible today. I worked all day unexpectedly so I didn't have time to prepare food.

6am: 2 mito tabs
8am: 1 cup cooked egg white, 1/3 cup oatmeal
12pm: One scoop syntha 6 with 8 oz. water
2pm: 100 calorie pack of almonds
5pm: One scoop whey gourmet with 8oz. skim milk

Drank 2L of water.

That's all I had this day. Then I went to my friends birthday party and drank red wine spritzers with soda water all night. Whoops!

Felt good on the mito, definitely was sweating during my workout! Fantastic appetite suppressant.

Workout: I had to squeeze in a quick workout in between appointments, so I did biceps and triceps.

Incline curls 12 x 12.5lbs 3 sets
Tricep kickbacks 12 x 10lbs 3 sets
Hammer curls 12 x 10lbs 3 sets
Tricep cable pressdown 12 x 65lbs 3 sets
Cable curls 12 x 35lbs 3 sets

Day 5:

The drinking totally derailed my diet today.

I didn't take my mito today since I wasn't home and I was hungover, hehe!

I ate a steak and cheese sub today (well I've only eaten half of it thus far) and two pieces of pizza and a cupcake and drank soda (not soda water, lol!)

I am a baaaaaad girl!

I will be back on track tomorrow though!!!

Day 6

Day 6:

Ok, back on track!

8:30am: 2 mito tabs
10:30am: 1 cup cooked eggwhites, 1/4 cup oatmeal
2pm: 1 scoop syntha-6 protein with 8oz. water
5pm: 1/2 flounder fillet, 1 cup steamed zucchini, 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
6pm: 1 can tuna, 2tsp light mayo
7pm: 1 stalk celery, 1 tbsp natural PB

2L Water (and still drinking more as of now)

WORKOUT:

Squats: 12 x 65lbs, 12 x 85lbs, 12 x 95lbs
RDL: 12 x 55lbs, 12 x 65lbs, 12 x 70lbs
Single leg press: 3 sets each leg, 110lbs
Walking lunges 4 sets of 12 with 18lb kettlebell

Energy was low today. Probably from my binge drinking saturday and my binge eating on sunday, lol! I need to start taking my 2nd does of mito. I took my first dose later than I wanted to. I'll take two doses tomorrow.

Thanks for reading and I appreciate any feedback or input!!! Have a great night!!

Day 7

Day 7:

Holy sore legs today!!

I weighed in today and was a little disappointed. I was

119.9...4 ounces up from day 1!

However, I do feel like I look slimmer and I have been chugging water all day and I finally took two doses of Mito. I may post pics tomorrow, if I can see a difference from day 1.

6am: Two mito tabs
8:30am: 1 cup cooked egg whites
9:30: 1 scoop of superpump250
11:30am: 1 scoop cell mass immediately after workout and then 1 scoop syntha-6
12pm: Two mito tabs
1:30pm: 1/2 Grilled chicken sandwich and 1/2 salad with fat free italian
3pm: Other 1/2 of sandwich
5pm: can of tuna with 2 tsp light mayo

That's all so far. I'm about to steam up some zucchini right now. And I'll probably have some natural PB and celery sticks a little later or maybe a protein shake.

WORKOUT:

Bench press: 12 x 65, 12 x 75, 12 x 80
Bent over row: 3 sets of 12 with 10lb plate (it was a machine, so I have no idea of total weight)
Flat bench chest flyes: 3 sets 12 with 15lb DB
Upright row (machine): 12 x 80, 12 x 90, 12 x 90
Incline bench press: 12 x 45, 12 x 55, 10 x 55
Lat pulldown: 10 x 80, 10 x 70, 10 x 60

I only did 10 minutes of cardio today, it's all I had time for. I think tomorrow I'm just going to do cardio, so I'll probably do 45 min, maybe 15 min HITT and then 30 min steady. Any thoughts on this?

I'm really struggling with the diet today. My energy was pretty low today. I took a nap around 3pm. I just want to eat carbs! I know mine were really low today. The wheat roll from my sandwich was my only real source of carbs today! I usually eat oatmeal with my egg whites, but I was choking those down as is! I couldn't even finish it, it took me an hour to eat about half my bowl of eggs. I really am trying to make myself eat, but it's so hard!

Overall, I'm feeling a little bit discouraged. I know it's only been a week, but I feel like in the other logs I've read there's been awesome results in the first week. But I just keep thinking about what a failure I'll feel like if I don't make any progress AND how awesome I'll feel when I do make progress! I just need to pick up the pace!!

Thanks for reading!

Just a quick tip, always weigh in first thing in the AM on an empty stomach for the most accurate idea of how much weight you're losing. Once you start eating/drinking/etc. your weight can/will fluctuate by a few lbs...

I do at home, but my first weigh in was at the gym and it's different from my scale at home. I just put a 10lb dumbbell on my scale and it was 10.4lbs. So I weighed in today at the gym. I weighed myself this morning at home and i was 121.2 and then at the gym I was 119.9. It was at the same time I was weighed in on Day 1, but I know fluctuations happen. I should have weighed myself at home! I'll start doing that now. But my final weigh in will be from the gym, I'll just make sure to go on an empty stomach! Thank you for replying. I'm feeling a lot better now!

For my last meal I had 1/2 cup plain yogurt with 1/2 a scoop of BSN's Lean Dessert. I just couldn't do the veggies!! I think I'm a little carb depleted because plain yogurt actually tasted good and I could have eaten it just plain, but needed the extra protein. I'm cooking up 3 chicken breasts right now and will probably eat 2 tomorrow.

I also ended up drinking a gallon of water today, finally! I dug out my 1/2 gallon jug and just keep it with me all day.

Any diet tips are greatly appreciated too!

Thanks!

Don't get discouraged!! First off you are already at a low weight for your height, so it's going to be harder to shed weight. Second, it's only been a week. A lot of us lost water weight the first week. Third, in your position I would look for more of a recomp effect than weight loss, meaning you'll tone up more. Just keep at it and you'll get there.

my diet tips.....some people might disagree etc etc but it has worked for me

stay hydrated
try to get most of your carbs with your 1st meal, before work out, after work out
eat to fuel yourself not because you just want to eat
eat lots of veggies
have your biggest meals earlier in the day
replace white bread with wheat bread
replace sugary cereals with oatmeal
get all your fats from healthy fats such as avacodo, all natural peanut butter etc etc
have protein in every meal
cut out alcohol or keep it at a minimum such as a couple drinks a week-the less the better
stop smoking or cut down drastically on smoking
stay away from fast food
stay away from deep fried food
stay away from saturated fat
Take a day a week to eat a "cheat" meal, which you can have whatever you want
if you think your gonna binge eat its better to just take a cheat meal before you get to that point-its better to take 3 steps forward and one step back than 5 steps forward 5 steps back

theres more but im drawing a blank

My diet is going down the toilet! I really need to get back into it.

I've been sore from my workouts and had a bit of a sore throat, so I was feeling a little run down.

I went out last night and was drinking red wine spritzers with soda. I suppose it's better than my usual beer. I know I just need to cut it out because it ruins my diet the next day! It's so hard though. I only drink once every two weeks though.

Day 9

Really crappy diet day.
All I ate today was an egg on toast and then chinese food. I really thought the chinese food would hit the spot, but I found it to be really gross. It gave me heartburn and I swelled up from all the sodium. I will definitely think twice before I have a cheat meal.

No workout.

Crappy day overall. Ugh.
