Its pretty good for first semester I had a 3.6 myself. The B's are going to kill you later though (unless they are B+s then you are not quite so bad off). I could raise my GPA .05 by turning my single B into an A... which is more than getting an A+ in a future class would do.

This. Considering you'll probably attend grad school to upgrade your education in the future, it's best to limit the number of B's you get and try to get A+'s/A's. It'll kill your social life but it's worth it.
GPA of a 3.2 or better is pretty much guaranteed to be all you ever need (serious)
Employers don't really give two ****s about it unless it is below a 2.5 or so (which means you are typically some dumb**** irresponsible moron who parties and smokes weed every night who they wouldn't want to hire to begin with.)
