bodygroomers
In other threads on hair removal, the Norelco body groomer has been touted. My local Walmart is selling a Phillips body groomer. Any one had any experience with it. Anybody willing to argue the pros/cons of the Phillips vs Norelco?

Norelco is a US brand name for Philips.
I.e. - it's the same thing.

I got so many weird stares, mostly from women, when I shaved my legs, that I won't ever do it again.
I think the ladies were just jealous of my pretty legs.
I just got a Panasonic groomer, and I love it. It has an extender on it which makes it easier to reach your entire back.

I didn't know they had special body shaving things. My husband just uses our regular clippers. I should look at these.

Man, I get tired of shaving my face everyday. I just can't imagine doing more than that. Are you guys really doing it because you like it, or are you doing it for competition purposes?

for the back nothing beats the man groomer
http://www.amazon.com/tag/man%20groomer
unless your amazingly double jointed that is.
I tried the bodygroom but it wore out in 6 months and I have been unable to find replacement blades.
personally I started just shaving everywhere, except the back where I use the man groomer

I use the groomer once a week or every other week.
If you saw me in full pelt you would understand why. I am proof we evolved from apes (I don't really believe that, but I can't argue with it too much when I am unshaven for a month or so.!)

same for me,
although I am well adjusted in most areas (debatable) I do get self conscious about the amount of body hair I have, I find it personally repellent.
I dont shave my body daily as it doesn't require it that often, usually 2 times per week, takes about 10 minutes.

I started shaving arms, legs, chest and shoulders about 5 years ago and find that I cant let it grow back, I cant get past the annoying stuble ..... although legs only get done once a month, everything else is once a week, I dont mind a small amount of hair on my legs... as for everywhere else I feel the hairless look really looks better than the hairy look, another incentive to shave is that most of my body hair is turning white and wirey .... not a good look at all IMHO .... at the moment I've been using just regular razor blades but might look into the Norelco.....not sure if we have it downunder though.

I only trim the chest / abs / etc ... kinda "mow the lawn" a bit, to keep thinks in check. A regular razor works fine.
I'd like to smooth the back / shoulders, though, but have a question: How long before the stubble starts to be obvious to the sensitive female hand?
The other problem is "down below", which I'd prefer to be 100% hairless. Not sure what to use down there. I doubt the Philips/Norelco will be much good that far south...

For me the stubble is noticeable to the touch within 2 days, and to the eye within 3-4 days.. I usually let it go a little longer than I should but the resulting shave is usually smoother..so a day or two of stubble is worth it.
as for "down below" are you sure you want to go all the way? Just keeping things "tidy" might be easier... and I think it looks more normal as well ...otherwise you look like you havent hit puberty yet..... LOL.... but thats just my opinion....others may disagree.
