Priest, Dugdale, Henry, Silvo, Melvin, & Rockel

I dont think these guys will ever get their full credit due.. especially Rockel. But who's your favorite under rated IFBB Pro and why?

I was gonna throw in Shawn and Padilla but I hope to keep this thread on current day pros.

The knock on most of these guys are their backs. Either size or seperation issues. However Melvin always seems to place well, and Henry is doing well.

If Henry could bring up his quads he would easily be one of my favorite pros ever.

I think the most underated is def silvio this guy is a freak with the conditioning and his serratus, i think david henry could do some damage if in his back double bicep his bis popped a little more. And idk what lees deal is maybe just conditioing. I wish lee the best year and i hope he is top 5 in mr o this year.

silvio's a beast. I believe he got a win under his belt too. Him and evan centopani are my faves currently.

Lee my favourite simply because of his arms. Then Melvin, if the aesthetic guys going to win the O id much rather it be Melvin, just a shame about his conditioning sometimes

x2. He's got a massive build and he looks like a natural up on stage like he fits in no matter what lineup. He just needs to fill out more, which I am sure he is working on.

Preist would definitely have to be one of the most underated Pro, most probably because of his size. I think his comp weight is somewhere around 203-205.


'09 will be his second return to the IFBB even if he wins a show before the O I doubt he will make the top 10.

It would be cool to see Lee and Henry battle it out at the 202s at the O

Personally i think Lee Priest is well under rated, he has no weakness and has a very pleasing physique

lee priest and melvin anthony are NOT underrated. melvin is always around 5th place at the O which is where he should be. we havent seen priest compete in the IFBB in a couple years, and he has won major shows. he'll never be mr. o because of his height, but that does not mean he is underrated. he deserves a top 10 placing, which he will possibly get if he competes at the O anytime soon.

He's been on the pro circuit for about 6yrs. but IMO I think he has a more aesthetic physique than wolf. I really dont see anything he can improve on, he'd ruin his lines if he were to put on any more weight.








definitely underrated IMO, the only area i can see that needs improving is his back, hams and glutes.

Priest? Underrated? The guy's the most popular bodybuilder ever. I used to love Ronnie Rockel, then I met him and had to pull out a microscope, he's about knee level. Melvin just never brings it together like he needs to. He's placed next to guys like Dexter Jackson, obviously he's not gonna edge out the Blade. He'll remain an underdog until he learns how to show up the hardest and sharpest he can humanly/inhumanly be.

I couldn't agree more, most of these competitors for lack of a better word are DEFICIENT in some area.

Rockell-back (damn he looked awesome in that video!)
Henry-biceps
Lee- (although he brought it up ) back
Dugdale-width, size
Melvin- smallish quads.

why would anyone criticize priest's technique? the guy uses super strict form, with really heavy weight. very few pros (from what ive seen), use better form.

I don't really think any of them are under rated. Like someone said earlier they all have a weakness which is stopping them from placing higher. I think with them all apart from Melvin and Rockel, their height holds them back. I think pictures of them stood next to others would highlight that more. If I had to say any of them was under rated though, I would certainly go with Ronny.
