CDs? (the boring bank kind)

I need help.
I have debt BUT I'm trying to make sure I have savings to cover 6 months without pay, if needed, so I'm trying to save the extra money I make. I have this little problem though....if I have access to it I tend to "dip into it" for necessities. (like clothes, makeup, doggie gifts lol)

Setting up an IRA is a good idea but if you are setting up your emergency fund, you'll want to have some access to it. Rather than a CD, how about a money market account...better than a savings account with a higher return. You'll still need to have some control no matter what you choose. This is always a good option as you don't lock up your money like you would with a CD. And the rates are pretty high.
