What is a good diet to burn fat, yet keep muscle?
To burn fat I've always understood that low cardio is the key and that high cardio helps strengthen the heart and lungs. I also know that lots of protein equals bigger muscles. I recently had surgery that has given me the gift of being a fatty and I want to get rid of it so I can pass tape. My personal goal is to run my two mile run in under 14:00. I've never been a great runner and at my fastest time ever was only a 15:45. I know my training and eating habits will get results for my push-ups and sit-ups, but my weakness has always been the run. My question is this: what diet has any runners or anyone out there adhered to that has given them the energy to run after a work out session? I always seem out of steam after my push-up and sit-up events. And lastly, what could I do to improve my conditioning to punch out these events?
