    For me, When I'd pull sumo I'd either have to go loose suit, or just real tight briefs when pulling sumo.

    Suit+briefs was always too much gear for me to get and stay in good position.

    rt bicep kinda hurts...hope no damage done.

    jerked on the bar a bit my last sumo attempt, may not have had my supinated arm fully straight. my right biceps has a dull ache in it, doesn't feel like I tore anything, but it doesn't feel fun.

    RICE-ing, NSAID are in effect, high rep prehab will happen tmw or thursday, hopefully i wake up tmw feeling a-ok.

    Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that I got less zero results when I searched in your journal "bicep" zero results when searched "curl" and less then 7 when searched "hammer curl".


    Meh, tearing a bicep is much more hardcore then training arms, Go for it.

    i usually don't log when I do bicep work as I consider it prehab.

    I also don't log the band elbow and shoulder prehab I do.

    nor the knee prehab I do almost every night.

    and all the bicep work in the world isn't going to prevent a tear if I try to jerk 645lbs off the ground with a bent arm.

    that's my thought too, it relies on really really strong triceps to press like that...but it is a much shorter distance, and I have long ass arms.

    If you look at the videos, most of Louie's guys have switched over to the metal militia groove anyway. I remember years ago, he'd say to never arch, and always push the bar in a straight line. Now his guys are all arching, andp ushing back towards their faces.

    For raw benching I'd agree it'd be the safter route to bench straight up and down, but to move as much weight as possible in a shirt, MM proved thats the way to go.

    yup.

    we've been working on it from day 1 when she started training with us.

    its just that she's been squatting one way for 10 years...so its very hard to retrain her.

    sometimes she has trouble getting depth, which restrains her from trying heavier weights.

    on another note, how do you get tight when you squat as far as your back goes? i was having some trouble doing that today.

    needed to figure out my pulling form for the meet...guess I'm gonna go conventional and break out my deadlift suit.

    didn't do any accessories b/c I basically did 3 ME lower movements this week.

    also got my new shirt in, will shirt up tomorrow to get it broken in. should work well.

    squat is going good looking like 755 might be a 2nd attempt
    if the new shirt works well tomorrow the bench shouldn't be a problem
    deadlift is worrisome, but I can pull like 620ish raw conventional, so if I get 20lbs out of a suit I'll get close to my elite, and if I get any gravy on my squat/bench it should be good to go.

    good work done in shirt today, got good volume, triceps really felt it b/c the sleeves were a bit too big.
    overall this shirt is gonna work for me, the bigger chest plate and back let me get weights down faster, but if I set the shirt right I still get amazing pop off the chest, with tighter sleeves I'll get support all the way to lockout and should be able to bench 540-550 pretty soon.
