at my work about lifting and stuff
told him i wanted to gain alot of mass
and not be skinny and all that.....
he said the best way to gain an inch
on my arms would be increase my squats/dl's by about 100 pounds
he said if i worked out legs, chest, and back only
the rest of my body would fill out better
i found what he was saying very interesting,
and i know he knows alot about lifting and such
but does anyone have any input on what he said?
should i mainly concentrate on legs, chest and back
to get alot fuller, instead of isolation excercises?
thanks guys, will rep good feedback

He's absolutely right in terms of everything filling out a lot better. But I'm not sure if it's the *best* way for arms specifically.
I would take his advice if I were you. I don't do anything for my arms (directly)- only compounds. I also feel that isolation exercises aren't helpful until you have a good base. These are just my opinions, though. But if you like curling/tricep work, it wouldn't hurt to throw them in there. The pumps are always great.

not the best way. but it does make your entire body bigger when you squat/dl
I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

okay, thanks man.
i agree with you.
i mean im not just interested in getting bigger arms
my main goal is to just get mass all over my upper and
lower body, because right now at 140 lbs i see myself as just way too skinny
im thinking of focusing on core lifts,
and every now and then throw in some isolations
i agree that i think i need a good base as well..
thanks bro, repd.Last edited by youngmoney7; 12-29-2008 at 10:34 PM.
