realistic goal? to dead lift 400 by next semester which starts January 20th? I have been making leaps and bounds with my deads partial because I never really did them till the past month or so. I went from 300 2 weeks ago to 365 earlier this week......so if i get a belt for xmas which i will, and i push myself hard thing its possible to jump 35 lbs in 6 weeks?

Why would you need a belt?
And yes, it is doable...especially with a belt which will allow you to lift a little more assuming you can get the weight off the ground (it should help with your lockout).Bench: 572lbs (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9RrAfn0TfkY&feature=youtu.be)
Squat: 924lbs (https://youtu.be/hnvJ0SdCYKw)

Over Head Press: 405lbs (https://youtu.be/h3o4jOBa8IM)

I think it is a realistic goal if you follow powerlifting protocol. There is a bored group of guys WAITING for you to ask that question down south. Hit the POWERLIFTING STRONGMAN section for all your "strength" needs.
In for the "my arms are lagging need to build them up, but I am a powerlifter" threadCha Cha Cha

Lift smart.
I rear ended a car this morning...the driver that got out of the other car was a dwarf !!
He looked up at me and said "I am NOT Happy!"
So I said, "Well, which one ARE you then?"
That's how the fight started.

Summary so you don't have to read it all:
"If you never injured your back, wearing a belt adds no safety.
If you injure yourself while wearing a belt, the injury is more severe.
To get the most out of weight belts, you must lift with bad technique.
If you want to lift a few more pounds, wear a weight belt. "
So I guess there is exactly NO benefit, but you get what I'm getting at brah?Opeth, Vai, and Lamb of God enthusiast.

Gotcha. I use mine on my heaviest sets of things like t-bar rows, but I DO have a previous injury...so for that, it helps me to not re-injure that area. And yeah, they do help you lift a little more, but you might was well just do it without if you're not hurt....like you said.Lift smart.

I just started out on creatine so i dont have much experience to fall back on with this, but my two roommates have used them and said it helped them mostly with gains and some recovery. So im assuming because they were aided in recovery it allowed them to increase gains. But they also said when they got off of it they lost some of the gains (strength and bodily).
As for hitting 400 lbs by january 20th, i think you can definitely do it, just make sure your form is still correct and just work hard enough and you will reach it. good luck to ya, post it when you reach it!"Trust yourself, break some rules, don't be afraid to fail, ignore the naysayers, work like hell, and always give something back" Arnold Schwarzenegger
Vegetarian, before you ask where I get my protein do some research

just a quick search will give you this info:
95 per cent of body creatine is stored in muscle tissue, with Type II fibres having a larger store than Type I fibres. Muscle creatine used in contraction is replaced by supplies by the blood (Engelhardt et al. 1997).
Creatine rapidly bonds with phosphate to form high energy compound stored in muscle (CP). It is necessary for formation of CP in the mitochondria and resynthesis of ADP to ATP.
Increased oral intake of creatine results in increased blood creatine concentration and increased uptake by the muscle cells. Oral supplements of 20 - 25g / day have been shown to result in increased creatine content in muscle by 20 to 25 per cent, increase muscle torque and improve athletic performance.
