I am not looking forward to this movie.
1. It is following up one hell of a horrible movie.
2. I'll give Stallone credit for his shape, but he still looks too old. Unbelievable and tacky.
3. This is probably going to try to be one of those heart warmers about some old guy who takes out the "new, cocky champion".

Ummm, he looks like a 50 year old man, what's the big F#ckin deal? Did you guys really expect Stallone to look like Balboa from Rocky IV? Just cause his BF is not @ 6% does not mean the movie will suck. The script might suck, that is to be seen. Marciano,Clay,Lennox Lewis,Foreman, all these successful heavyweight boxers did not have 5% bf bodies who looked like Brad Pitt. Lets weight and see if the movie really does blow. His built is pretty true to a 50 year old man.
Spare the reps, bang a chick.

I don't think you guys understand what 'Rocky' is all about - at least not how Sly wanted Rocky to be.
Rocky isn't a 'Look at how amazing this boxer' movie. It's ugly, Rocky is stupid, his girl is plain and shy, he's going no where in life and he gets a lucky break. A once in a life-time chance to fight against the champ...and he loses.
In #5 Rocky was supposed to be old and washed up. He trained the new kid...and, in the original plot he was supposed to *DIE* in the final scene. Personally, I think that would have been a great ending to the series.
I don't know what's in store for #6, but his being old doesn't ruin the story at all; since we don't know what the story is. I'm guessing you'll see him as a poor, old, unhappy ex-boxer who only knows boxing. And that's why he goes back in the ring - not for fame, or for money; and he'll end up getting as kicked.

Rocky is not a movie about boxing.Boxing is just the tool that's used to show how life gets hard and how resilience can get you to prevail.
Take a look at any Rocky movie. In Rocky 1 it is shown how this guy is a local gym boxer and how he is pushed around by people, for how little money he fights, and then how he trains to fight the champ.Another example can be rocky 4,where he loses his dear friend in the ring, but then keeps his head high and doesn't fear entering the same ring to face the same guy who's killer his friend.
The movies aren't about boxing. They're about the ups and downs of life.I,and only I am the SOLE KEY to my SUCCESS
