Water Retention
I think this is really weird. If I drink any kind of soda at all on a given day I weigh several pounds heavier the next day even if I eat the same number of calories I normally eat. Does anyone else have this problem? An example yesterday I weighed 252, today I weigh 256 even though I only ate 2100 calories yesterday. Does anyone know how to fix this, or is it as simple as don't drink soda and drink x amount of water per day.

Amen brother.
If i drink soda, i bloat up. it's not unusual for me to gain a few pounds when i do. I try to limit sodas to special occasions, and drink quite a bit of water afterwards and the upcoming days to flush it out..

if its diet soda it could be the aspartame causing you to hold more water. it has the opposite affect of a diuretic. Its not actual weight gain, so its nothing you need to worry about. With that being said, cutting soda can only have positives to your weight loss.
