does it count if i bought myself things?
i bought myself a pair of running shoes with support for my joints (as suggested by someone here) and another pullup bar that doesn't have to be screwed into the wall. I hope to take it back to college in January.

OOOH! Do tell how well WiiFit works for you, please! We're thinking of getting it, down the road. (I'm hoping it will be the thing to get Mom off the couch!)
I got a yoga mat and two sets of low-weight dumbbells (8 lb and 10 lb), as requested, even though they are vinyl-lined... yeah, yeah, I know... But with the car wreck, I figured they'd be good to work with, until my shoulder is feeling up to more bb work.
But... Yoga mat! I am so thrilled. Now I can stretch like my cat and get all the kinks out of my system. :3 Mrowr!

I love the Wii. Its a good complement to my workouts. For me and most active workout people, it won't take the place of lifting but it has some great features. The yoga portion is challenging because you use the balance board to show on the TV where your balance is. The balance games are great too. I also bought the program called My Fitness Coach which you can play in the Wii. I really like this program for aerobics, abs and stretching.
If you already have the Wii then you only need to spend about $90 on the Wiifit game/board. If you don't have the Wii you will be paying a lot more. I used it at a friend's house and fell in love with it.

Me too! Well...kind of. I got new running shoes (I always do my second switch of the year during Christmas for this reason). Also got a new blender and whey.
