    pushups and curls before bed??

hey guys, since i joined a gym back in august, i have my old dumbells laying around. this built guy in the gym told me if i wanted to pack some real chest muscle, do around 3-400 pushups a night before bed. same thing with curls for the arms.

any weight to this theory or is this broscience at work?

I had a friend in college that used to do something similar and the only thing I noticed was it hindered his workout the next day if it was chest or biceps. Does it help with growth? not sure because the guy in question was also working out in the gym so the variables became hard to track.

I say give it a try and record your results.

    Good luck.

How about leaving all training for when you are at the gym and rest and eat while you're at home.

    I second this.

You grow outside the gym, not while you are in it training. So why would you want to hinder recovery by doing excess work?

yea i'd have to say no to that. probly better that you dont work before you sleep and just get well rested for the next day.

There's nothing wrong with doing some low intensity work.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

Why don't you just add the push ups onto chest day? After wards or before hand as a warm up (yet obviously don't do as many for the latter)
    I will not try.
    I will do.
