Well, this year I received the following lifting oriented gifts.
Adjustable Incline (to slight decline) Bench. (really excited to get this one)
Two sets of lifting gloves (as some know I hate lifting gloves)
Two ten pound olympic plates
I had asked for some lifting straps and for some reason both my wife and sister-in-law ended up giving me gloves? I may keep the one pair though (even though I hate gloves) because they have a wrist brace built into the glove. I recently started doing my wide and narrow benches with a conventional grip (always used a false grip) which is much harder on my tight wrists. The wrist brace on the one pair just might be worth it for benching? I may run out this afternoon (we are closed today) and exchange the other pair for some straps.
I'm excited to use the incline bench today! Can finally do some incline presses and so much more, can even use it for sit-ups...... oh baby, I'm living in the fast lane now...........
My Mother-In-Law gave me the 2 plates, and that was very sweet of her, shows she was trying to think of something. And it really bets the usual gifts she's given me through the years....... most of which get put into a closet as soon as we get home and I never see again.
So what did you all get?
The best gift I received over all was my wife framed up a memorial to my Dad, she did it right under my nose at the Gallery.... lol, it includes the styro-foam cup that I used for the water to Baptise my Dad just a few days before he passed away. This one brought more than one tear to my eyes.
Second best gift, a copy of the 'Geneva Bible' 1560 version in the original language. (I have a copy of the 1599 version but it's been updated to modern language) It's just incredible and I've been wanting one for years. Way, way cool!!

This year; 4 Nike "dryfit" athletic shirts, and one pair of shorts.
But I bought my oldest son; beta-alanine, 10lbs of whey, a tub of Vasocharge and Xtend.
I got my youngest son; grappling shin guards, mouthpieces, mouthpiece case, and compression shorts w/cup (all MMA related stuff)."If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

I had to lift a 52" LCD into and out of the SUV . . . and then had to carry it into the house and put it on a stand. Does that count??
No . . . no cool lifting-related stuff for me, other than new supplements--should have some SuperPump 250 (trying it for the first time) and some protein bars which should arrive any day.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*

Yeah, my 18yr old does. He's already got a deviated septum and his nose looks crooked. But of course, he's proud of this achievement . He just finished his first semester of college. And after seeing his first semester grades....it is quite apparent to me that MMA is his main focus in life atm

at least his focus is different than my daughter first semester of college , she was a honor sudent , top ten % in high school , went to college , became a lil' sister in a fraternity , and discovered keg parties , but she ended up with a 3.8 and graduated suma cum laude ? i think , she pulled it out ok,

Religion has certain ideas at the heart of which we call sacred. Meaning, Here is an idea that you?re not allowed to say anything bad about; you're just not. Why not? because you're not!? If somebody votes for a party you don't agree with, you're free to argue about it as much as you like; everybody will have an argument but nobody feels aggrieved by it. But on the other hand if somebody says 'I must not move a light switch on a Saturday', you say, 'I respect that'.

The only "lifting oriented" gifts I got were ones I bought myself with money I got from my school and the parents' club (new gloves and sets of 60# and 65# hex DBs).
Now I did give my wife sets of 3# and 5# DBs (foam coated with the plastic saftey strap across the back - and with her MS it's a good safety feature) and a yoga mat and a bag. Now before you all say anything, she asked for the mat and the 5# DBs. I got her the 3# as well 'cause I though 5# might be a bit much for some of the things she wants to do.
