    whats the best stuff to eat to get stronger

    currently lie 5'7 173-174

    bench 235x5
    deadlift - 315x7

    trying to get bulk up a little get my bench up to 275x5, and my deadlift up to like 365x7

    what time frame should i set and what types of foods are best to eat. i plan on cutting afterwards but its winter right now and i want to get some strength.

    depends on your goals...if u want to increase strength and maintain weight....or if you want to increase strength and increase bodyweight

    the key is the number of times you eata day...


    anyways the best you can eat is pasta,rice,beef,chicken...all stuff will increase your strength...al depends on your body reaction...

    meh i just want to bulk a little gain some muscle/strength cut back to 5'7 170 which is ultimately what i want to be just with lower bodyfat, and more strength and maintain that.

    Nope, but given that so many people are worried about eliminating saturated fats, and rarely get enough EFA's unless they supplement, it is hard to be precise here. As I said, my post was a gross oversimplification.

    I can post some studies later when I am not so sleepy from ensuring that my hormonal levels are peaking.

    Types of fat matter. You need to look at both the micro and macro nutrient profile of what you are consuming if you are concerned with things like this.

    No, it is not THAT important. If you consume 100 calories 10 times a day, you will loose weight. If you consume 3,500 calories in one meal, you will gain weight.

    Famous 6 meals/day formula is good because:
    1) If you are gaining weight, it is much easier to consumer 4,000 calories over 6 meals rather than 3. You will not get tired, or feel extremely full.
    2) If you are loosing weight, it is much easier to eat 6 small meals, rather than eat 3 meals and have periods of bad hunger.

    And finally, your diet depends on your goals. I compete in under 181lb weight category, so I maintain my weight. I eat like a normal person (when I get hungry), but eat only healthy foods (good proteins/carbs). Generally speaking, when you are on gaining weight diet, your strength grows much faster.

    pizza, burritos and burgers w/ some kind of desert on workout day before training. i each pretty low calories on off days and a less amount of carbs, dont want to get fat

    awesome i tend to eat all my calories in one meal haha. ill go all day without eating then eat a 1400 calorie meal, then a few hours later drink a ha;lf gallon of some milk.

    BUT you also need to know that body can digest a limited amount of proteins, carbs, and fats at once. For proteins the limit is 40 - 60 grams per meal. That's where 6 meals/day is much better than 2 meals/day. Your body digests more proteins, which is essential for muscle build & recovery.
