Definitely do scotty.
On another note...im assuming not everyone here has only a problem with alcohol. But other substances as well. Does anyone sometimes have issues in regards to taking their supplements and having it feel like a trigger sometime? I know its not mind altering stuff, but sometimes ill skip my vitamins or capsule supps because it feels like im taking pills to solve a problem or insecurity I have about myself like I used to with other substances. Im just getting back in the rooms and I know this will fade with time...I just wanted to find out if im not alone with that thinking. Thanks guys.If I curl what you squat... can I work in with you on the rack?

I have never found taking supplements to be a trigger for me. To me, I take vitamins and such to stay in good health, and help reverse the effects the drugs and alcohol had on my body. With that being said, everyone is different. If you feel that it is going to trigger you back into active addiction, them don't take them! Nothing should be worth risking your sobriety! I know if I lose my sobriety, I will lose everything else that came with it. I would think that not taking vitamins and supplements would be healthier than using and taking vitamins and supplements. Then again we supplement to get things we aren't regularly getting in our every day diets, right? If you don't feel comfortable taking vitamins and stuff, I would recommend reevaluating your diet. Make sure you are getting all your vitamins, minerals, proteins, etc necessary to meet your goals through your diet.

Sleep n stress checking in.
Finally got tired enough for sleep last night, had instant bad dream. Woke me up. Drifted off, had another, I was surrounded by tentacles. Was about to wake up, just decided to sleep, let's the tentacles tentacle. I'm declaring it a victory.
Back on earth, went to a good meeting Thursday. Haven't been hitting many, because I am a moron. Going to hit that one regular. Every time I go there I get some good listening in.
Fcuk ing tentacles. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

Random question
Hew fellows, I'm kinda new here but I felt like the group on this thread,I could probably relate to. I was wondering where exactly is your waist measurement taken,at the belt line or just below the ribs? I've also noticed some folks on here take shoulder measurement straight across and some wrap around and use circumference. Which is correct?

Hi Guys
Im very new to working out at the gym and ive been on the forum for a short time and I had to read the title to this thread twice for it to sink in.Its the last place or so I thought were I would find recovering alcoholics/addicts . ive been sober since 12 of December 1994. I quit cigarettes on the 15th of june this year and that in turn led me to heading to the gym.

Elusive sobriety
I went sober for a full year once after having a 2 week migraine 4 years ago.I have fallen 4 times this year, last time being about 2 weeks ago. I've now been suffering with migraine for a week now. Definitely time to completely quit although I often wonder if a couple beers might relieve it?

Persuasive
Yes I hope everyday that I never pick it up again. But then comes some day, usually on a weekend that I'll be bored or aggregated with work or wife or something and I'll have a few beers. Before the day is done its a few sixpacks. Next day pick myself up and kick my own but for a week or two. Than year I'd quit I was too busy to drink, working the but off just to survive & support family. Been in church a lot over the last year, just got to regain consistency .
