Cool.
I don't se how HE is disturbing the peace. The people who come to look at his snowman, uninvited, are the ones disturbing the peace. Arrest them, its his yard he should be able to do whatever he wants in it.

I guess I can kind of sympatize with the neighbors. But this is one of those losing battles- if you complain you look like a kill-joy. It may be best to tolerate it for a week or two and try to enjoy with everyone else.
I could kind of understand them saying the snowman is a safety hazard- what if it tips over and lands on someone and kills them? But then again, that person would instantly become famous as the first person ever killed by a giant snmowman.

If it gets up, walks, and breathes radioactive fire, then we're all up ****s creek. Otherwise, no harm done...

When I was a kid, growing up in Boston, we would make some pretty damn large snowmen. No, not as big as the one in this pic ...but the size that would take 4-5 guys to roll the bottom portion which would be well over our heads. Then, we'd build a snow ramp of sorts to get the next section up. And then the next. In reality, they'd probably be 7'-8' high. For kids...not too shabby .

I live a few blocks from this guy. Real nice family and met/chatted with him a few times. But his yard is a real eyesore, his yard looks like Sanford and Son house in the summer time.

i like his comment that 'snow is free therefore even poor people can make and enjoy one so why would you want to take that away from them'. Good point!
If his yard is always an eyesore I think the snowman would improve it. Can't see how his messy yard relates to this.

Maybe since he's in Alaska, he could build a "Snow Sarah" by golly. Surely they wouldn't mind that, for heaven's sake.
