My "know it all friend" and I were having an argument about how muscles does mean anything ina fight I agree technique has something to do with it but if this person has 100 pounds on you and x5 more muscle all he needs is one punch to your face and your out...
What hes saying is this guy
Could beat up this guy
just because he has a black belt... bull.. technique means something but theres limits ffs. What do you think? Hopefully i can show him this thread to shut him the hell up with him body builders are weak bull ****.

I'll take speed/explosion/ strength over muscle size any day in a fight. Muscles don't win fights, in fact they due hurt b/c the bigger the muscles the more oxygen your body needs.

It does to a degree.
Some tosser was trying to hit me, but because of my superior strength (to his) I was just stopping him from hitting me with ease and then just got him in an arm lock took him to ground and then he pretty much gave up.
Same age, same weight, but I have more muscle compared to fat.1k+ people.

GSP would knock Coleman out cold. And he weighs 170.

You guys do know that wolverines ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine#Name) Have been known to fend of a bear from its kill, and can kill moose. One of the main reasons it can do this is because its so dam agressive. Your attitude is 50% of the fight. The rest is skill/size/power

I've never seen a Joe Calzaghe fight where he didnt look like the underdog. I mean seriously, the guy hasnt lost a single one of his 46 fights and in every one the guy he fights looks like the sure winner: bigger, stronger, more toned, more defenition, less bodyfat. Yet they all lose.
Admitedly this is boxing and there are weight divisions, but still hes competed in super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions and Bernard Hopkins was 6 foot to his 5' 10 and looked like a monster compared to calzaghe. He still opened a can on him.
Its all about technique. Can't beat it. The 130 lb guy whos been practicing his finger jab to the windpipe for 10 years or the 230 lb bloke who cant walk for 30 minutes cos his leg muscles rub together too much? Bruce Lee any day.

Honestly, muscle means very little in a fight. Very, VERY little. There are plenty of dudes that would ruin Ronnie faster than he could flex a bicep.
Like this guy:
The reverse, however, is that you have to understand a 'black belt' really doesn't mean ****. There are exceptionally skilled black belts in every martial art, and there are ones who essentially bought it (at most schools, 2 years and $250 equals a black belt). The kid you pictured: not very intimidating. Jet Li: very intimidating. Gracie: terrifying...to the point that nightmares fear him.
As far as one punch from Ronnie knocking you out, there's a chance he's too musclebound to actually swiftly punch you in the first place. Second, that's about as useless a qualifier as there is...Alicia Sacramone has one-punch knockout power, and she's a 5'3" Olympic gymnast. If you connect with the jaw properly, in most cases it's game over...and if not, you're stunned to the point that the second shot they throw ends it there. Trained fighters are a bit more accustomed to it and can take a bit more of a beating, but in the end it still doesn't take much.
It's also fairly clear that you've never really been in a fight, other than maybe schoolyard scuffles that started with I-shove-you-you-shove-me. There's really no such thing as a 'fair' fight...some dude's trying to beat the piss outta you, grab a bar stool for Christ's sake. All's fair...
