How much more muscle can you gain by eating right & taking creatine?

This is probably a dumb question, but will hopefully be informative to "beginners" like me...

    Q) How much muscle can someone expect to gain who has been working out on and off for years, but has only just started eating enough protein and supplementing with creatine?

I ask because I just started the protein & creatine thing 10 days ago, and my weight/fat scale says I've already added about 5 pounds of muscle! Is this normal, and how much more can I expect to gain long term? By the way, I'm 37, weigh 220, have 28% body fat, bench 420, and squat 320.

Any thoughts are much appreciated! Thanks in advance. -Mike

u say eating enough protein but protein is not enough

u must consume more calories per day than you burn in the course of a day to gain weight

I've eaten enough to put on an extra pound over the last 10 days (but my body fat has gone down 3%). Is that enough total body weight gain to facilitate good muscle growth? BTW, I'm doing an intense (for me) full body workout every 3 days, and eating a whole lot more slightly before, then after my workouts.

ive read a very very general consensus that 1.5lbs of muscle a week is about as good as it gets if you do everything perfectly.
