I have been at this for awhile, and I would be the first to admit that have failed over and over again! I still have the taste of failure in my mouth! It is not a good one I might add!
I have debated if I should start a new thread or not, and finale decided why not! I might as well! I have read somewhere that : "Whatever the goal, the opponent never changes: It's you vs. you . " and it struck a cord in me...as you can see by the title!
It is also the finale, because I am done doing this over and over! I have had enough failures to be able to do this right this time! I have learned from my mistakes, my stupidity, my ego...and consider myself more mature and ready to get the job done!
What got me to this place...simple:
I love to eat! But that was not my problem...the problem was I did not know when to stop
There is a saying that goes : " You eat to live, not live to eat". Not sure I have the correct words but it was something similar...you know what...I think I heard it wrong because my system was live to eat, not eat to live...so somewhere alone the line the message got screwed!

As I was saying...I did not know when to stop, which can be a problem if you don't control it! Hey, I am the proof!
At the beginning of the year I was all up about changing...and even entered a contest! YEAH! I was 327 lbs! I was ready to make a change
To make a long story short, I dropped out of this contest before it was halfway thru...and yeah, you can add that to my many list of failures
I am a great student, worker, brother, son, husband...but when it came to my health, I was just terrible! And honestly, I did not take it as serious as I should!
I could list the many reasons why I got to this weight, why I could not work out...but we all know it is a bunch of bullsh*t or as we call them excuses!
And before I know it...I was tipping the scale at 335 lbs! yep! Only 8 lbs some would way, but damn it, that was my heaviest ever!
I remember graduating high school at 215, looking hot and sexy...and in less than four years I had gained 120 lbs! I was ashamed, and also, the biggest guy in my family! Heck, still am!
So..here I am 335 lbs!
That was August 15, 2008...about a week prior to my wedding!

Oh yeah, my wedding day! I got married on August 23, 2008...Happy as hell, but fat as a pig!
Yeah that is me...335 lbs on my wedding day! Might have been more, who knows! I was nowhere near a scale that day
Anyway, as soon as I got back from my honeymoon, I kept at it! It was not untill my 52 size jeans were getting too tight that I was like...OK, something here is not right! I am 23 and wearing size 52...soon it would be 54!
So decide to go for it! I clean up my diet, talked to the wife and she was on board with me! Great!
Surprise! Surprise! After the first month I dropped from 335 to 306.5 lbs! Damn...water weight!
Excuse the exposure, but if you know me by now, I take pictures in my undies...So 306.5 lbs by October 1, 2008!Last edited by cawiau; 12-21-2008 at 02:01 AM.

Ok, not going to bore you guys with all my progress pics! If you want to see them all, feel free to visit my bodyspace or click here : http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/ca...n=progresspics
Now right to my latest progress pics...I was 293 lbs! Since than I have lost 4 lbs, but still look the same!
Since starting in september I have lost 46 lbs! Also down from a 52 to a 44 size jeans! My overall goal is to be back to the weight I was in high school or lower : 185 - 215 lbs, before I bulk!
I will force myself to update this journal on a daily basis with my workouts, cardio and diet!
I am currently following a 3000 calories diet more a less...40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat! I say more or less because my scale is broken and need to go out and buy a new one! I have been on this diet for 2 - 3 weeks I believe!
Might decide to change/lower calories come January 11, 2008 which is the week school start again!Last edited by cawiau; 12-21-2008 at 02:16 AM.

Cardio!
Towards the end of October, I challenged myself to do 250 miles of cardio...by November I changed it to 2,500 miles and gave myself to the end of 2009 to make it happen!
I have been slacking on the cardio but going to step it up! I will be posting the progress graphs at the beginning of each month to let you guys know where I am at! Maybe get some kick in the ass motivation

Stickin with you all the way on this one, man. You can definitely see a difference in the pics. You seem really determined. Congrats on your marriage! It's also good that your wife will support you throughout this change process. Again, luck to you all the way!

Hey bro, good work so far! You seem to be motivated right now, so try to keep it up! Keep looking at your progress pictures when you feel "Lazy" or eating a "Pizza", etc. It's a mental game at this point for you. Good luck!!!

Comment:
Took about 35 minutes with a bit a brake in between! The burpees were a bit hard for someone my size! Pushups were not what I like, think I forgot how to do them properly!
Crunches gave me some pain in the abs..that is were I need a breather! Had to stand up and hold my stomach! after a while the pain stopped so when backed at it.
It was great. But yet, I still miss the gymMy journal:
