i need to buy more protein powder. i'm satisfied with my diet. i use protein powders as a supplement to my diet. that being said, i'm thinking about using a blend this time, instead of straight whey. from a powerlifting standpoint, does this make any sense? i just want to buy one kind of protein. i can't afford to use lots of different things nor would i want to. i will be using it probably 3-4 times a day. what are your recommendations? whey or blend? what brands? reps for responses.
i originally posted this in another thread, but no one is responding to my post. i was trying to avoid starting a new thread. need to order soon so please let me know what you think.

if it's predominately post workout, whey is the best bet... if it's at random times in the day... you'd probably be better served with a blend, so as to give off more nutrients over an extended period of time...
that said... isaku has a good point when he says "it doesn't matter that much"
The first thing i look for in protein is price... i'm not about to spend hundreds of dollars on a few pounds... then, after that, i'll worry about taste... THEN.. i'll give a **** about what's in it...protein is protein...there are differences in quality... but, it's kinda like wondering if you should do 15, or 20 reps on your last set of tricep extensions on bench day... there are more important things to worry about, dig?680/412.5/647.5-1740, raw elite 308 (meet, raw, wraps)

I usually get a 20lb bag of WPC stick in 150grams (or as much as I need) in a jug and mix the night before.
It is important to me that I can get a good price so buying in bulk is the only way for me to go.
Blends are just filler if you want to add something to the whey just buy it separate and save some money.
So to conclude it doesn't really matter nutritionally don't even go for flavour if you can get it cheaper plain, you will get used the the taste.
