Storing vials sideways - Leakage?

In order to store my rhGH. Does storing vials sideways have any negative consequences? I noticed when I opened up the mini-fridge, there was some clear liquid next to the vial.

I wonder if this is the vial "leaking" or whether this is just condensation.

If the vial is leaking I would suggest not using it. Storing them sideways shouldn't cause any problems before the expiration date.

Edit: I would say storing them sideways or upside down is NOT a best practice, but you should be dealing with sealed vials. If they leak or the compound has a negative reaction to the rubber and degrades it - either its been stored for WAY too long, or it was improperly manufactured.

The package insert for my Nutropin says to always store the vial in an upright position. That's what I do.

Well, all I do is add bacteriostatic water to the vial and then store it. So besides injecting a 29g needle into the vial, I'm not doing anything else.

Oh ok gotcha, after opening it to reconstitute I would definitely store them upright.

Another question about vials. If you have a multi-dose vial, with the rubber stopper already pierced, would you bring it on air travel? Or the lower pressure inside the airplane will cause leakage?
