Breast Augmentation

Hey ladies, I am planning on having my boobs done in march, and have started researching plastic surgeons in my area. I live in south orange county, so like newport, beverly hills, L.A. San Diego. Does anyone have any good experiences with doctors in this area? I really appreciate any help here, as this is mostly a word of mouth investigation because I have no background in the medical field! Thanks in advance!

Don't know if you want to make the drive, but my mom and her friend both had an augmentation done in the bay area. They both have no complaints about the doctor, nor do they have problems. I can get her to dig up some names and numbers if your interested.

I never had an augmentation. I had a breast reduction, which means scar tissue & reshaping the breast.

Make sure you have a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Some people try to practice outside their field of expertice - hence checking their creditials. The state should have them on record. You want to see multiple before and after pictures of patients ( no face shots for privacy, just the part of body they worked on - i.e. boobs.) The surgeon should be able to give you very realistic expectations about what will occur and healing.

I would start by getting a good recommendation from my general practicioner ( your normal doctor.) Word of mouth from previous patients is fine, but your doctor will know where all the dirt and bodies are buried if someone has messed up. AMA is nortiously slow in regards to revoking licenses on bad doctors - not to scare you, just stating what occurs.
