Are there any good Laptop computers out there in the $ 350 range ?? (serious)
I'm trying to buy a Laptop as a gift for my 8 year old son, with a budget of about 350 dollars, Would appreciate any suggestions....THANKS

Wal-Mart sells the Acer brand and I purchased a laptop a couple months back for $399.
Very basic but still came with built-in webcam, windows vista, wireless internet, etc.
No problems so far with many hours of use with my daughter.
Black Friday had a couple under $350 if you were willing to live outside a retail outlet for a day. I would imagine some floor models may also be in that price range or models going out of stock.

im interested in some cheap laptops too....im going back to school and will be needing a semi-fast laptop for internet browsing, typing papers and other graphics programs....

EDIT: Why don't you buy him a regular desktop computer? Laptops can be pretty fragile, and I don't think an 8 year old can be trusted to handle one responsibly.
