High Quality Weight Bench Suggestions

I have a rack and am now looking for a high quality bench. Adjustable is not a requirement but would be nice. I like a firm pad. Price is not really an object as I'm willing to send quite a bit to get a nice one, though I would like it to be somewhat affordable. I figure Ill be lying and sitting on this thing with good amounts of pressure on my frame so I want to get it right.

Any Suggestions?

I too have been looking for a firm, stable bench. Quality more important than price to me as well, by a good bit.

So far, I like the Precor Icarian Superbench. It does not have "attachments" and doesn't do decline, but has very (very) solid feel for flat and incline positions. Firm padding and commercial quality construction. Its spendy, but you said it didn't matter ~$900.

The Hoist 4165 also seems fairly well put together. It can accept a leg and preacher attachment, and does declines. Its a tiny little less stable due to the ladder style quick adjustment. But, ease of use and flexibility may come into play for you. More mainstream pricing ~$500.

I'd be interested to hear comments on these benches in use, and others that may be of interest to the original poster or myself.
