I don't really agree with the sign that the atheists put up. I'm all for civil debate amongst intelligent and mature people, but the sign isn't accomplishing anything except pissing people off and giving us (atheists) a bad name.
I'm usually a fan of Bill O'Reily but he didn't have a very good argument here. The constitution shouldn't be up to interpretation by some governor.★cVc★
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

I disagree. It gets people talking which is exactly what needs to happen in this country. We've been "debating" for years. If we piss people off, then the conversation will happen. And why should we walk on egg shells to appease the religious right? The sign essentially does the same exact thing, it asserts an opinion on reality. You could easily switch your statement around and say its pissing off atheists and giving Christians a bad name to put up the nativity scene.

edit2: did BOR just seriously say that the constitution was partly founded on jesus's teachings??!Last edited by ElHombre; 12-16-2008 at 04:19 PM.
I forgot the most important moment in the history of ever: When Glenn Beck and Ayn Rand teamed up to defeat socialism and fascism and restored the world to the way it was supposed to be before Obama forged the One Ring.

The sign was not called for but so be it. I think there will be a day when Christian groups rise up and take matters in their own hands and when they do, it will not be a pretty sight in this country.
I think the religous people will get fed up with the cheap shots and all the other media outlets and it will be hell to pay....

Bill paid off a former assistant with twelve million dollars because he couldn't keep his hands, mouth and dick in check. Bill has ridiculed many for doing the same. Bill is a piece of garbage.
I am more than likely to be called out for hitting on some chick here or there but I will never pay her off - I'll stand up like a man and take what comes my way.
