6 or 7 a day... do the math

I have always known this, if I am eating 4 to 6 ounces of chicken 4 to 6 times a day, that is 1.5 pounds of chicken. I could plug in any protein, tuna, salmon, lean beef, LAMB (*oh yeah baby*) and that is a lot of protein per day.

I said this to a friend of mine the other day, and he looked at me like I was crazy. I told him to do the math. When I see that 2.5 pound bag of frozen boneless skinless chicken breast on sale for 3.33, I stock up with as many as they will sell me. He thinks I have gone nuts and I am hording food. I put my hands on my shrinking hips, gave him an evil hungry mans stare, and said "Do the $@%%^&*ing math. Its a lot of meat to do that in a day."

If I am gonna eat good fats, a good amount of carbs, and a good amount of protein, and eat small meals, its a lot protein. I am not bitching. I fireup my george foreman, and cook up a couple of days worth in a couple of batches.

I think one thing that catches people by surprise is they dont think ahead at the volume of protein this takes to do.

What do you guys think

Its so much food. My best friend thought I was nuts. He still does. However, we started working out at the same time, and somehow he is fatter now then we started... But that is another thread.

How do the other experienced guys and gals, handle the volume?

There is not really a question in here. This should probably have been a blog entry.

I believe that you are trying to say "I am amazed at the amount of food that I can eat and still loose weight".

I recall when I started out in 07, I ate chicken damn near all day - 6 times - even for my inbetween meals. I was SO SICK of eating the volume that I dreaded eating. But, after months of persistence, it paid off and I lost a considerable amount of weight.

Now, I am hooked on salmon, turkey chili, ect... Unfortunately, the weight loss has stopped. I am thinking of going back to my daily chicken / rice meals just to drop another 15 lbs or so - it seems to work.
