Anyone taken Topamax?

Was prescribed it last week.

I haven't started taking it yet because a common symptom is that it will make you slow, your thinking actually slows down.

Has this happened to anyone here?

I wanna know how bad it is before I actually take it.

i have never takin it but I am trying very hard to get my hands on it. heard its great but does have some side effects...

wife used to take it for migraines.

what u need it for? she never complained about being slow (and it never became apparent haha)

however u have to be careful when coming off of it.

I have a bottle of it and haven't started it yet. My doc told me some people experience the dopey effect, but not everyone does. If it does turn you into an imbecile, it is easily reversed by stopping the meds.. tapering, of course.
