What's your weight and BMI? Without any of that infor from you, we can't estimate the number of calories your body needs for maintainance and weight loss.
Firstly, I'd suggest you spread your calories over as many SMALL meals as you can throughout the day. I eat 6 times a day, and keep my portions small.
As far as food choices go, you should be looking to go with low glycemic carbs, monosaturated fats, and moderate protein at each meal..
i.e. For your carbs, I'd stay away from the bread, sugary products, etc in the favour of sweet potatoes, oats, brown rice, and leafy greens.
For fats, I'd say have some nuts like Almonds, Cashews etc. Flaxseed oil, fish oil, and olive oil (for frying). Don't use vegetable oil, and try not to eat crap like greasy chicken and pizza. When you do, keep it minimal. Like once a week. And don't over indulge.
Protein -- I'd stick with lean meat, chicken and fish.
^ That's the resonable way to lose weight.
This is what I did when I wanted to lose body fat and get ripped. I did this along with cardio. The body fat fell right off me in a matter of weeks. And it has stayed that way for months.
Avoid drinking too much alcohol. Personally, I don't drink at all. Alcohol consumption has been shown to hinder fat loss...
The stupid and quickest way is to do it the old fashioned way -- starve yourself. Eat cereal for breakfat lunch and a reasonable dinner, Special K style. The pounds will fall off, but be prepared to be fatter than ever when you start eating again. -_-
And I'm not a fan of the keto diet. Let someone else reccommend it to you. I won't..
