    Gaining Muscle & Loose Skin..

a summary of my road to where i am now

    i was 240...went down to 170....had loose skin on lower stomach..and underarms/chest

    bulked up to 205

now that im tryin to gain muscle...its become more noticeable...

and im gettin annoyed..im tore between going back to 170..where it was less noticeable...

or just get my bench up to like 300+...where it'll be more solid....but i don't know how it will affect the underarm chest fat....any thoughts

Have you considered getting a docs opinion? Maybe some simple surgery would be an option to take off the lose skin? Keep up the good work and dont get discouraged about it...Good luck

You're only 17. Your skin is still very pliable. I would wait 3 years from the date of your weight loss to see how the skin tightens up. It can take a long time. You will probably be in a better financial position to get surgery when you get a bit older too. I wouldn't panic right now. Perhaps try to find a happy medium for the interim. It stands to reason that more muscle would fill in some loose areas so I would go that route.

I too have some loose skin from dropping 100+lbs in a year. My advice just give it time, I KNOW trust me you just want it to go away. I''m 24 and my skin has come along way since dropping the weight. It's not where I'd like it to be but I'm hoping over time it goes away completely, if not I'm looking into surgery.

Keep at er! Get bigger/stronger, my .02!
