I've never felt the effect of caffeine, coffee, espresso, red bull, you name it - they all have no effect on me whatsoever. I can drink a bunch then fall asleep.
Recently I've been drinking more tea, and have noticed that I am extremely awake and my concentration and performance is greatly increased for a few hours after, even if I didn't get much sleep the night before.
I'm just curious if my body is crazy or anyone else gets such a strong benefit from tea. FYI I drink white tea mostly for the taste.

Although I used to drink a lot of caffeine, I've experienced the same thing with green tea. It gives me such a boost of energy in the morning, much much more than coffee.
If your drinking white tea, maybe you should consider drinking green tea instead. Many studies showed a wide variety of health benefits from daily green tea. That includes anti-cancer properties, metabolism boost, lowering stress, and a lot more. For more info, look here:

Maybe white tea has similar effects, but most studies were done with green tea, so making the switch could be a great way to make sure you get all the benefits. And you should get used to the taste very quickly.
best regards,

I drink a good 6 big cups of tea a day, and yeah, I notice more energy then when I used to drink Energy drinks in my fat days. It's different though. Now I'm awake and alert all day. With the energy drinks I would be really wired for like an hour then crash.

Tea makes me awake and alert, coffee makes me crazy and vibrate.

Thanks for that...
I actually read that white tea is the best variety for you... but it wasn't a reputable source. I did another search now and couldn't find valid evidence one way or the other.
I did read that white tea is made more from the buds and flowers where green tea is made from the leaves... so I could see what you're saying being true since there are probably more antioxidants in the leaves.
If you have read any good sources I'd like to read!
Thanks!

I've drank so many kinds of tea. White in my opinion is too weak of a flavor. I like good old green. I always like to try the different Yogi brands.

Yogi is good, Cellestial Seasonings. If you ever have a few bucks you can order some genuine lose leaf. You can tell the difference.

That's crazy talk!
Hmm, have to give tea a try. Anything warm makes me tired. Energy drinks are about the only thing that wake me up.Toxic Masculinity

Tea
Green tea, white tea, and black tea all come from different parts of the same tea plant. Green or white doesn't matter. Green is just more popular.
