Measuring Body Fat
I'm new to this, how do you measure body fat? I found a wedsite where you can measure your body fat with a cloth measure tape. http://www.healthcentral.com/cholest...-2774-143.html How accurate is this test? Is there anything else. Thank You.

All "at home" methods are only moderately accurate. Give or take 3%.
Its just supposed to give you a ball park, and a starting point. Help you notice that you are indeed making a change.

The only accurate way is with calipers and someone who really knows how to use them.

well, My gym has these. and thats what I am using to judge myself by. In other threads where I asked similar questions based of the results of similar web sites and the results with that device, the board and myself determined this device was probbally more accurate. at least within 1-2%. that would put me around 10-12-15%. now thats a healthy range but not where I would like to be. more than likely with my 33inch waist its around 13. the device measured me at 12.5.
now on the flip side those web sites put me at 20%. And I really can't see that as true.

you can pick up your own caliper on ebay for less than $10 including shipping. follow the directions it comes with...measure several times to get more accurate results.
