Didn't know where else to post this thread so I am trying here being that i have seen some pretty random threads come up the last few days.
With the cold season in effect in was wondering just how smart it is to lift while being sick. Normally I am very consistent and hate missing a work out, but realize giving my body time to recuperate is important too. I take a multi-vitamin everyday and have been adding extra vitamin c in as of late too. Regardless when I catch a cold it normally last about a week or so, rarely do I ever get sick enough to garner a visit to the doctor. Seeing how lifting can low the immune system I see how it can be a good idea to put lifting on hold during these times, but also can't see myself missing out on multiple weeks of lifting when i am healthy enough to go to work and sit around thinking about the gym.
Any input would be appreciated.
