Doesn't matter for the time it spends in it.

Wrong. Note that the CrM + Caffeine didn't interfere with creatine absorption and PCr concentration elevation, but impacted ergogenic effects in the studies. However, the study designs / "exercise" protocols may have been more of a factor - isometric contractions, high rep tallies, etc... in the effects and confound that with their practical relevance.

Yes i know HFCS is not good stuff and neither is soda in general, but im sure it will cause a huge insulin spike which is ultimately what is needed for creatine mono absorption. (from what i've read)
so can someone just tell me, CAN i put 5 grams of creatine mono in a glass of soda? or will it not work? its not like im gonna do it all the time... thanks

If you mix the 2 it will in essence cause a massive chain reaction on the highest scale which could most likely erradicate all living beings from the universe except for a few lucky souls stashed away in underground bunkers.
Actually, yes you can mix the 2... but why? Better off with some juice like others have suggested.

nope it's true. It does not cause a spike like dextose. This is one of the reasons HFCs is bad. When your insulin does not raise and you intruduce HFCs into your body there is no way for that sugar to enter into your cells because there. Was no insulin spike due to the fact that the HFCs is processd by the liver. Eat that biatch

The original belief was that you should not take creatine with caffeine as they cancel each other out; or caf. diminishes the effects of creatine. Either way, IMO that's crap, but, more importantly, I have read numerous studies that show this to be untrue. And, more importantly yet (and also previously mentioned), why they heck would most pre-workout drinks that contain creatine also contain caffeine?
So, to concisely answer your question, the reason you have heard not to consume both is probably due to the numerous studies saying that caffeine cancels the effects of creatine. After having cycled creatine for years, reading many conflicting studies, and seeing many of the supplements available I would not worry about it. Take your creatine and drink your soda!
Hope that's definitive enough.I'm living it, I'm doing it.
