Well I was laid off then...they have been laying people off for a few weeks now, guess it was my time. I worked there over 4.5years

Yes but I wanna become a Full time Firemen....I would only join the military for that option so I would be able to get on a full time dept afterwards....Im a paid on call firemen right now, but that doesn't pay the bills (it's my other job)

The thing about the the 'wanting to be a fireman in the military' is qualifying for it. That would include the ASVAB and medical examination.
